Sherman Park
Dedicated in 2024, Ric & Karen Sherman Park is located in the Cimmaron Development on Hermiston’s northeast side. The 9.22-acre site features over 8.6 acres of preserved wetlands, encircled by a gravel trail system, with 0.46 acres designated for future recreational amenities.
The park honors Ric and Karen Sherman, whose lifelong dedication to the Hermiston community reflects the spirit of public service and education:

- Karen Sherman is a former Hermiston school teacher and has served on the Hermiston School Board since 2001, helping shape the city's educational future for more than two decades.
Ric & Karen Sherman Park serves as both a community asset and a tribute to local leadership rooted in compassion, commitment, and civic pride.
