Hermiston Parks and Recreation Policies

By Registering or attending a Hermiston Parks and Recreation program, event or facility, you agree to the following policies:

General Liability

I understand the possibility of injuries resulting from Activities sponsored by the City of Hermiston. I hereby acknowledge and accept all risks and hazards incidental to participation in such Activities. I hereby release, absolve, indemnify, and hold harmless the City of Hermiston and its employees and agents from any injury whether to person or property, of the participant resulting from such activities. In case of personal injury to participant, I hereby waive any and all claims against the City of Hermiston, its employees and agents.

Media Release

By attending, participating, or entering in any Hermiston Parks & Recreation program or facility, you understand that a picture of you or your family may be taken. Names are not published without specific permission granted by a participant or patron.

Withdrawal/Refund Policy

Programs & Activities: If you withdraw from a program and/or activity 7 days prior to the beginning date, a refund may be issued (less a $15 processing fee). A credit may be issued to participants for withdrawal within 7 days of the first date. Beyond the first day of a program, no refunds will be issued for a program withdrawal.

Youth & Adult Recreational Sports: Refunds may be issued to players that withdraw up to 15 days prior to the start date. No refunds will be issued for players that withdraw less than 14 days of the start date. A $15.00 administrative fee will be imposed on all refunds. 

HYSO: Refunds may be issued to players that withdraw up to 30 days prior to the start date. No refunds will be issued for players that withdraw less than 29 days of the start date. A $15.00 administrative fee will be imposed on all refunds. 

Activity Cancellation

The Hermiston Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel, postpone or reschedule any activity or event at any time. 

In the event of a cancellation, registration fees will be credited to the participants CivicRec account or be refunded via Check.
