Hermiston Pickleball Courts

Located in Theater Sports Park, the Good Shepherd Pickleball Complex is a premier regional facility operated by Hermiston Parks & Recreation. It features 10 individually fenced courts, including the only fully ADA-accessible wheelchair courts in the Pacific Northwest. The complex also includes a championship court, LED lighting, spectator seating, and convenient access to parking and restrooms.

Open play is available daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering year-round access for players of all ages and skill levels.

Rental Information

Hermiston Parks & Recreation welcomes businesses to rent pickleball courts for team building and social engagement, promoting recreation to their employees. This facility was built with the community in mind, so only 6 of the 10 courts are available for rental, while 4 are reserved for public drop-in play unless unoccupied.

Rental Availability

  • Courts Available: A minimum of 2 courts and up to 6 courts may be rented, with a maximum of 8 players per court (ideal for doubles play).
  • Hours: Rentals are available daily from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., subject to availability and programming. Corporate team-building bookings are encouraged during weekday afternoons and evenings (e.g., 3:00–8:00 p.m.) to minimize conflict with drop-in play.
  • Drop-In Priority: Four courts are reserved for public drop-in play. If drop-in players arrive during a rental, renters must allow them to use any of the 4 drop-in courts. If drop-in courts are unoccupied, renters may use them but must yield to drop-in players upon their arrival.

Rental Rates

  • Minimum Rental: 2 courts at $50 per hour.
  • Maximum Rental: 6 courts at $150 per hour.
  • Rates are per court, regardless of the number of players (up to 8 per court).
  • Paddles and balls are not provided; renters must bring their own equipment.
  • Corporate Team-Building: Businesses may reserve 2–6 courts for team-building events.

  • Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking. Accepted methods: credit/debit card, check, or cash.
  • Minimum Rental: 2 courts for 1 hour.
  • Special Events: For corporate team-building, tournaments, or large group rentals, contact Parks & Recreation for custom pricing and availability.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made 24 hours or more in advance receive a full refund or credit.
  • Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refunded but may be rescheduled once, subject to availability.
  • No-shows forfeit the full rental fee.

Facility Rules

  • Please follow posted facility rules.
  • Prohibited Items: No food, drinks, glass, or alcohol (without a city-issued permit) are allowed on the courts or inside the facility. Water in sealed containers is permitted outside the court area.
  • Equipment: Renters must provide their own paddles and pickleballs. No bicycles, scooters, skateboards, or rollerblades are allowed on the courts.
  • Conduct: Respectful behavior is required. Renters must comply with staff directives and yield to drop-in players as needed.
  • Pets: No dogs or other pets are allowed on the courts.
  • Clean-Up: Renters must remove all personal items and trash after use.
