The Hermiston City Council voted Monday to assume ownership of a section of SE 10th Street from Umatilla County, initiating a process that will require further action by the county.

The City Council approved formation of the Ad-Hoc Charter Review Committee on July 28, 2025 to review the current City Charter and may make recommended changes, amendments, or determine that no changes are necessary.  In addition to a full review, the Council has asked the committee to provide specific recommendations on:
