Public Transit Committee- Council Subcommittee

The Transit Planning Committee was originally formed with members of the public, Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR), City Staff, and other community partners to review options for enhancing Public Transit within the City of Hermiston- specifically reviewing Taxi Ticket Program proposals and proposals from CTUIR to expand their service level within the community to provide a fixed-route bus system and makes recommendations to the Hermiston City Council. Since accomplishing these original tasks, the Committee has been absorbed as a subcommittee of the City Council to continue to study these specific issues in more depth.
