Library Renovation

HERMISTON PUBLIC LIBRARY RENOVATION

The Hermiston Public Library will undergo a major renovation beginning in August 2024, with a targeted completion date in Summer 2025. The purpose of the project is to:

• Improve safety & accessibility
• Create a dedicated teen & children’s space
• Develop new study rooms & maker space
• Add natural light through more and larger windows

During the renovation, book and media lending will be limited to high demand items at the Carnegie Building next door, and library programming will be held at City Hall. The library will accept returns at the current location throughout construction. Some resources will not be available during the renovation, but requests through regional libraries will begin as soon as possible.
