The Friends of the Hermiston Public Library is a dedicated group of community members who are passionate about supporting and enhancing the library’s impact. Our mission is to:
- Foster a strong community of individuals who care about libraries and their role in enriching lives.
- Raise awareness about the library’s value and importance as a vital community resource.
- Advocate for continued and increased support for library services and programs.
- Encourage the use of library resources, ensuring everyone can benefit from the wide range of materials and services available.
- Seek out donations, bequests, and other forms of financial support to ensure the library can thrive.
- Fund raise for special projects and new materials to keep the library evolving and accessible to all.
- Partner closely with the library to support its growth, improve its facilities, and expand services for our community.

Meetings
Join us for our monthly meetings, held on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00PM in the Hermiston Public Library Meeting Room. We welcome all members to attend and get involved!
Membership & Board Elections
- Membership dues are collected annually in September
- New board members are elected each November
We encourage community members to become active in the Friends of the Library and help shape the future of our library!
