Notice of Public Hearing Planning Commission March 11, 2026, at 7:00PM

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Hermiston Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the 11th day of March 2026 at or after 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers of the City Hall, 180 NE 2nd Street, Hermiston, Oregon.  The purpose of the hearing is to consider a request for an application to allow the restoring of nonconforming use from Diane Larkin.

The applicant seeks approval to allow a residential dwelling in a commercial zone. The request is defined as restoring a nonconforming use and requires approval from the planning commission subject to the provisions for a conditional use permit.  The specific criteria relied upon by the City in rendering a decision are contained within 157.195 of the Hermiston Code of Ordinances. The property located at 205 SW 3rd St is owned by West Randall Scott et al and under contract for purchase by Diane Larkin. The property lies in a Central Commercial (C-1) zone. It is also described as 4N 28 10DA Tax Lot 10900.
