NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Hermiston Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the 14th day of January, 2026, at or after 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers of City Hall, 180 N.E. 2nd Street, Hermiston, Oregon on the proposed conversion to amend the City’s comprehensive plan map from Future commercial/Industrial to Commercial for 19.5 acres with a corresponding change in the County zoning designation from F-1 Exclusive Farm Use to the city zoning designation of Outlying Commercial (C-2) with a Fairgrounds Overlay. The public hearing will also consider the proposed annexation to the City of Hermiston and withdrawal from the Umatilla County Library District the property located at 1835 E Airport Road.
The applicant is the City of Hermiston. The property is owned by Farm City Pro Rodeo. The property is located on the north side of E Airport Road, approximately 1,320 feet west of S Ott Road. The property is described as 4N2813 Tax Lot 1300 and addressed as 1835 E Airport Road. The location of the property is within the City’s Urban Growth Boundary and the proposed changes will allow the extension of city utilities and services to the property for development of an RV park.
