The City of Hermiston is looking for a dynamic and organized Parks & Recreation Operations Coordinator to help drive the daily operations and behind-the-scenes success of our thriving Parks and Recreation Department.

In this key role, you’ll work closely with department leadership to coordinate and support the smooth operation of our parks and recreational facilities — including the Hermiston Community Center, Harkenrider Center, Hermiston Family Aquatic Center, HEROS, Food Pod, The Arc, and other city-managed sites.

From keeping our facilities running efficiently to ensuring the public enjoys clean, safe, and welcoming spaces and activities, you’ll be central to the everyday magic that makes Hermiston’s Parks and Recreation Department a cornerstone of the community.

The salary range is $53,964 - $65,652/yr DEQ.  The City of Hermiston offers an excellent benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon; enrollment in the Oregon Public Employees Retirement System (the city "picks-up" the 6% employee contribution), Life Insurance, paid Holidays and a generous paid vacation and sick leave package.  

Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. This is a full-time permanent position.  Employee will be required to support and attend up to 8 days of after-hours, holiday and weekend work per year based on program or event administrative needs.  This does not include participation in after-hours committee meetings.
