City Owned Surplus Property

When vehicles, equipment, and other items purchased by the City of Hermiston become obsolete, too expensive to maintain, or have simply served their purpose and are no longer needed, the City sells them through surplus sales and auctions.

Most items that are declared surplus by the City Manager are priced and sold at an annual yard sale in the fall that is combined with the Friends of the Library book sale. To ensure equal and transparent access to surplus vehicles and heavy equipment, the City has partnered with Municibid to share these larger items online.

You can visit Hermiston's Municibid page to view current items for sale. Dates for future surplus sales will be listed as they come closer.
