City Owned Surplus Property

When vehicles, equipment, and other items purchased by the City of Hermiston become obsolete, too expensive to maintain, or have simply served their purpose and are no longer needed, the City sells them through surplus sales and auctions. 

 

Most smaller items that are declared surplus by the City are priced and sold at an annual yard sale at either:

  • The Friends of the Library book sale, or
  • The Parks and Recreation Community Yard Sale 

 

To ensure equal and transparent access to surplus vehicles, heavy equipment, and other unique items- the City has partnered with GovDeals to sell these specific items online. You can visit Hermiston's GovDeals page to view and bid on current items for sale.
