Pay-by-Text option added for Hermiston utility accounts
The City of Hermiston has expanded its utility billing options to include payment by text message through Xpress Bill Pay.
Hermiston residents with water, sewer, and garbage service accounts can set up pay-by-text option by logging into their Xpress Bill Pay account at XpressBillPay.com and selecting the “Pay by Text” option on the upper right corner of the screen. After choosing a phone number to receive messages and clicking "Save Changes”, the user will receive a confirmation text.
After signing up, the user’s next bill will be sent via text message including the due date, total amount due, and help options. By replying “PAY”, the full amount of the current bill will be paid with the payment option on file for the account and the user will receive a confirmation text message.
Users wishing to make a partial payment can log in to the Xpress Bill Pay account. Autopay and paperless options will still be available, and residents can make payment by calling 541-567-5521, in person or by mail at 180 NE 2nd Street, Hermiston, or at the kiosk at the south entrance to the Hermiston Library during library hours.
